Frame

A single still image in a sequence; the smallest unit of time in a video.

A frame is one still image in a video. Played in quick succession at the project's , frames create the perception of continuous motion.

Frames are the fundamental unit of time in GenMotion. Instead of thinking in seconds, animations are expressed as functions of the current frame — for example, fading in over frames 0 to 30. Because motion depends only on the frame number, the result is fully deterministic: frame 240 always looks the same.

Because motion is expressed as a function of the current frame, the result is fully deterministic — a given frame always looks the same, so previews and exports match exactly.
